LEARN ABOUT THE MOTTS AND OUR STORY

James Mott Community Assistance Program, Inc. has served the community for over 30 years in an effort to carry out the legacy of founder James Sebastian Mott—a kind, soft-spoken, compassionate man with a commitment for community service and justice that rivaled the most visible African American leaders of his time.

James Mott Community Assistance Program, Inc. welcomes professional and non-professional volunteers to help us help others in the Fairfax County, Virginia, community.  JMCAP is also a proud member of Volunteer Fairfax.

Provide families with goals to focus on Self-Sufficiency that will create individual and family independence. The agency advocates prevention and early crisis intervention to nurture the safety, health, and well-being of low-income youth, adults and the elderly in at-risk communities.

Anyone can purchase food at a lower price through OneHarvest!  Simply purchase a food box and come pick it up when it's available, or we can deliver to you!  Each delivery costs $10.
